First, thanks to the folks at Slice of Laodicea for finding this.
This is priceless. ABC is gonna be doing a new rendition of The Ten Commandments. Below is an article which quotes a Naveen Andrews, a "Lost" regular. ("Lost" being both a state of the soul at ABC and a popular TV show.)
Lost indeed! One day Mr. Andrews will give an account to the servant Moses' Master. That'll make for some hot drama! Naveen asks, "...Who is this vengeful, spiteful, jealous God?..."
The real question, Mr. Andrews, is, "Who are you?"
ABC/Disney - these folks want your firstborn - and all who follow! Don't give 'em to them.
Stirring the hornet's nest...not such a great idea:
Deuteronomy 7:20-21
"Moreover, the LORD your God will send the hornet among them until even the survivors who hide from you have perished. Do not be terrified by them, for the LORD your God, who is among you, is a great and awesome God."
It's Sunday and I'm gonna preach for a second. You who without thought purchase products manufactured by Disney and present them to little ones give offerings to a pagan god in the same manner that many give tithes to the Christian church. No, we can't boycott every worldly organization, but time and time again, ABC/Disney has shown itself unashamedly hostile to God, his Son, and to those who follow and serve Christ. Christian, for God's sake don't oppose yourself! And don't offer up your children to Molech! The spirit of Molech dwells in the midst of the radiance emanating from our video devices.
R.J.
Leviticus 20:2-5
"Say to the Israelites: 'Any Israelite or any alien living in Israel who gives any of his children to Molech must be put to death. The people of the community are to stone him. I will set my face against that man and I will cut him off from his people; for by giving his children to Molech, he has defiled my sanctuary and profaned my holy name. If the people of the community close their eyes when that man gives one of his children to Molech and they fail to put him to death, I will set my face against that man and his family and will cut them off from their people both him and all who follow him in prostituting themselves to Molech."
New "Ten Commandments" to Stir Hornet's Nest, says Naveen
And if that's not enough to convince us this isn't Charleton Heston's reverent 'Ten Commandments,' he adds, 'I think what we've done is question the nature of religious dogma: Who is this vengeful, spiteful, jealous God who urges Moses to commit mass murder at times? and how good is that for mankind?'
